Privacy Policy
Calm by design. DayRoot has no accounts, no ads, no analytics trackers, and no server of ours that collects your data. Your plans, places, tasks, and history live on your device. The only things that ever leave it are the minimum needed to compute travel times and process an optional subscription — described fully below.
What DayRoot stores (on your device only)
- Your trips, tasks, seeds, places, settings, streak, and adaptive timing history — kept in the app's local storage on your device. We cannot see any of it.
- Your most recent location coordinate — one point, overwritten each time, used to check traffic before an upcoming alarm. Your location is never tracked over time and no location trail exists.
- Activity history used for adaptive timing auto-deletes after 30 days.
Location
DayRoot asks for “while using the app” location only — never background or always-on tracking. Your current coordinates are used to compute live travel times to your places and are sent to Google (see below) for that one calculation, then discarded.
Calendar
With your permission, DayRoot reads your device calendar live to plan when you should leave. Events are read in place, never copied off your device or uploaded anywhere by us. If an event has a location, that address text may be sent to Google to compute coordinates and travel time.

That's the complete list. No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no data brokers, no sale or sharing of personal information.
Notifications & alarms
Reminders and wake-up alarms are scheduled on your device through the operating system. Their contents never leave your phone.
Subscriptions
DayRoot Pro is an optional subscription billed by Apple or Google to the account you already have with them. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings.
Your choices & deleting your data
- Location and calendar permissions are optional — DayRoot stays fully usable without them (travel times fall back to your saved estimates).
- Settings → Reset data erases everything DayRoot stored, instantly.
- Deleting the app deletes all of its data, because it all lives on the device.
Children
DayRoot is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how DayRoot handles data, we'll update this page and the effective date above before the change ships.
